User interest in LGBTQ relationships??

I am about to start a publication that will be centered around my fellow LGBTQ community. I have never done a publication, so I am trying to work through some of the basics, but I don’t yet know all the ropes in this platform.
I was thinking that we would try to focus on the relationships. The controversy/bigotry angle is quite well covered in this genre, so how about focusing on just the normalcy of our relationships day to day? We could do user submitted best/worst first dates, first time intimacy fears, biggest cliches versus the commonalities no one seems to discuss….just normal stuff about dating amongst our community.
Yep we could absolutely still accept stories involving controversy, breaking news, friends in need reaching out for support, etc. I just don’t want that to be our focus or mission.
I keep saying us/our, but it is currently just myself and I prefer female pronouns lol so I am seeking interested parties who would like to write and edit, first consideration will be members of the community, of course, but there will be no discrimination. Not allowing writers who are hetero is 100%, without a doubt, just as discriminatory as not allowing lesbians or transgendered writers. I would love to include some hetero positivity.
Why? Because whomever you are, that person is just exactly enough. Period. We will be publishing mostly relationship stories so it might be difficult to find a suitable topic if you’ve never taken part in that, but anything that shines a positive light on ALL people, with no discriminatory exceptions, should be considered for publication.
Having climbed back down off my soap box, I’m currently working on my own submissions and I encourage anyone interested to comment here so I can allow access and start writing if you’d like as well!

I volunteer as a youth mentor, ‘screw drugs but queers are awesome’ is kinda my theme (please know I use that word because I wanted to own it and now it’s a compliment rather than an insult when I say it or hear it said to me😁) if you need to talk about it, a mentor is a mentor, right? Probably not, but I will certainly listen to your pain and tell you how much more amazing your life will be before long. Mine is awesome finally, my wife is a beautiful, amazing woman, and my mom likes her more than she likes me!
